Hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you open a page, Vercel processes technically necessary data such as IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer and browser identifier to deliver the page and protect it from abuse. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is running the site securely and reliably. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. More: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Audience measurement with Vercel Web Analytics

I use Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages get read. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Visitors are told apart by a hash of the request that is discarded after 24 hours; you are not recognised across days or across other websites. It records things like the page, referrer, country, browser, operating system and device type, in aggregate only. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is improving the site.

Performance measurement with Vercel Speed Insights

I use Vercel Speed Insights to see how fast pages load on real devices. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It records loading metrics (such as Largest Contentful Paint), the page, and device type, browser and country in aggregate; visitors are not identified or tracked across pages or sites. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is keeping the site fast.

Fonts

All fonts are served by this website itself. There is no connection to Google or any other font provider.

Local settings

If you switch the colour theme or dismiss the language suggestion, that choice is kept in your browser's local storage (localStorage). It never leaves your device and is not sent to me. Storing it is necessary for the feature you asked for (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can clear it in your browser at any time.

Email and booking a call

If you email me, I process what you send to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and delete it once it is no longer needed. For booking a call I link to Cal.com, where Cal.com's privacy policy applies. Links to GitHub, LinkedIn and Hugging Face lead to external sites with their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Just send me an email. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the Baden-Württemberg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
